More than 130 athletes to be feted by Touchdown Club
AKRON, Ohio — One hundred thirty-three high school athletes from Medina, Portage and Summit Counties will be recognized on Sunday, May 1, at the 50th annual Winter Sports Banquet of Champions sponsored by the Touchdown Club of Greater Akron at Guy’s Party Center.
Doors open at 4 p.m. and dinner is served at 4:30. Guy’s Party Center is located on Waterloo Road in Akron.
Athletes from 37 high schools representing the sports of boys basketball, girls basketball, boys bowling, girls bowling, girls gymnastics, boys swimming & diving, girls swimming & diving and wrestling will be honored.
The Touchdown Club of Greater Akron was established in 1941.
